Embroidered Mushroom / toadstool hanging ornament digital sewing pattern by Willowynn
An easy-to-follow PDF sewing pattern and template for making simple fabric mushroom hanging ornaments with embroidered underside gills. Hang on a Christmas tree or string several mushrooms onto a garland or hanging mobile.
This simple project is perfect for beginners and can be machine-sewn or hand-stitched, and will introduce you to some basic soft sculpture techniques, simple hand-stitching and embroidery.
This is the beginner’s version of my mushroom hanging ornaments. A more advanced version with pleated underside (or aset of both) is also available in my online store.
The template provided will make a finished mushroom / toadstool measuring approximately:
