This vintage-style bunny or bear softie is the perfect companion for a baby or small child. Designed to be endlessly carried around and looks so sweet nestled in amongst a child's pillows. This is the perfect project to upcycle that piece of fabric you’ve been saving for something special, like an old baby blanket or soft flannelette sheet.
Full of handy tips and instructional photos, this project is ideal for the advanced beginner sewer wanting to tackle a slightly more complicated soft toy project that includes darts and gussets. Some hand and machine sewing experience is recommended.

Detailed step-by-step instructions with 23 colour photographs.
The PDF file consists of 9 pages (including template sheets) and is 1.5 MB in size.
RECOMENDED FABRIC:
You will need up to half a metre of fabric (light to medium-weight cotton, linen, or felted wool). Avoid bulky fabric or fabric with stretch.
I used thrifted, second-hand flannelette cotton and an old woolllen blanket, to make the toys pictured.
SIZE OF FINISHED TOY:
The templates provided should make a finished soft toy measuring approximately 25cm (10in) tall*. The photos provided are an example of this size.
*This is an approximate size. The size of your finished soft toy will vary depending on fabric and amount of stuffing you use. For a larger or smaller toy, simply reduce or enlarge your template pieces either when printing or by using a photocopier.
