Four new cloth dolls (and two pairs of mushrooms) will be available to purchase via my online store from 10am (Sydney time) Thursday 15 December. Each doll comes with her own cloak, handmade cardboard gift box and certificate of authenticity. Prices range between AUD$280 - AUD$340 + postage.
There are four little cloth dolls on my work table, that are almost finished. I'm just making some finishing touches to their cloaks and little boots. All four dolls will be available to purchase via my online shop from 10am (Sydney daylight savings time), Thursday 15th December. I'll also have two pairs of my mushroom hanging ornaments available to purchase online from Thursday as well.
Next week is the start of six weeks of school holidays here so I'll be slowing down on the sewing front while my children are at home. We'll be camping and painting mostly...
I hope to have a new collection of work available by early February... maybe some large animals this time.
Wishing you happy and safe holidays,
Would you like to make these little hanging fabric ornaments? I've put together a sewing pattern for them which is available here. These ornaments make great little presents, and not just for Christmas trees... enjoy!
...and my fox and wolf toy sewing pattern is also now available to download. Phew... these ones took me ages. Thanks for waiting so nicely.
Thanks so much guys! Lots of hanging mushrooms (and fox and bunny dolls) in the post. It might not look like it, but that's a lot of work boxed up right there and it's such a great feeling to see them all finished and heading out into the world. Dolls, owls and whales next...
This is where I work every day... my favourite room in this tiny old house. My boys like it in here too as this is where the buttons, scissors, string and good pens are. Right now I'm working on some owls, whales and four new dolls which will available via my online shop soon.
My messy table is filled with work that I hope to have available via my online store over the next few weeks.
It's been one of those lovely steamy afternoons with the sound of thunder in the distance...
Really looking forward to making dolls again soon (this is one from a while ago). I've had to focus on some other things lately which has shown me how happy I am making stuff. Feeling very grateful for all that I have and all that is possible.
My new letter-pressed 'certificate of authenticity' cards printed by Jo and Andy from Olive and the Volcano just arrived...and I'm over the moon... and thank you Nettie (Ginger Blue Graphics) for helping me with the design!
Some mushroom hanging ornaments on my work table this week. I'm trying to get some sets of these ready for Christmas.
I love it when the perfect material for what I need happens to be rubbish... like the plastic from old milk bottles.
Hi! Just letting you know I'll have two new dolls, an owl and a whale available via my online store from Wednesday 10 August, 10am (Sydney time - EDST). Best wishes, Margeaux
Let's all start wearing cloaks again! This is a little cloak I've made for one of the cloth dolls I'm working on at the moment. It's made of a beautiful mustard velvet I cut out of a curtain.
Busily working on finishing three new cloth dolls by the end of the week. I'm fascinated with historical fashion at the moment...
They'll be listed in my online store soon.
I will have three new dolls available via my online shop, Friday 1 July from 7am Sydney time.
They are all made using fabric salvaged from old clothes, remnants etc., and are priced from AU$280 plus postage. No reserves I'm sorry...
I have been busy working on two new little cloth dolls and they are finally finished... a maid and a maiden. They will both be available in my online shop from 10am (Sydney time), Wednesday 23 March.
There are rejected shapes, limbs, heads and ideas all over the place this week. I'm modifying, tweaking, improving and trying for curvier curves. Trying not to obsess or over think...
This little group of foxes and owls is almost ready to go into the shop (just need to finish the stitching on the two fox's ruffs). They will be available in my online shop Thursday 25th February from 10am Sydney time.
A tiny baby I made for Alma's doll.
