Christmas painting

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Christmas. I hope that the new year brings you peace and maybe something exciting. 

​I made this little painting of a fox and owl enjoying a Christmas tree in a snowy forest, as a card for my children. We are in Australia so Christmas doesn't look like this for us, but this is the Christmas I dreamed of as a child. Next year it will be a wombat and wallaby gazing at a decorated gum tree :)

I just wanted to drop a line and tell you how lovely your work is. I adore the winter scene with the Christmas tree, fox, and owl. And now looking at your plush creatures, I am reminded of Winnie the Pooh ~ which if that was your influence, you've done a wonderful job of continuing on the sweetness of his style.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment Christina. I've only just noticed it here and I'm sorry for my late reply. I absolutely adore Winnie the Pooh and E. H. Separd's illustrations so I'm not surprised that influence comes through in my work :)
